Latest Updates

Important dates for 2023 enrollment:

  • November 1, 2022: Open Enrollment starts — the first day you can enroll in a 2023 Marketplace plan
  • January 1, 2023: First date 2023 coverage can start
  • January 15, 2023: 2023 Open Enrollment ends

If you don’t enroll in a 2023 plan by January 15, 2023, you can’t enroll in a health insurance plan for 2023 unless you qualify for a Special Enrollment Period.

STILL, NEED COVERAGE FOR 2022?

The Open Enrollment Period for 2022 coverage is over. You can still get coverage in two ways:

  • If you qualify for a Special Enrollment Period due to a life change like marriage, having a baby, or losing other coverage
  • Through Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program, which provide coverage to families and individuals with limited income or other reasons.

Health coverage pays for provider services, medications, hospital care, and special equipment when you’re sick. It is also important when you’re not sick. Most coverage includes immunizations for children and adults, annual visits for women and seniors, obesity screening and counseling for people of all ages, and more for free. Keep your coverage by paying your monthly premiums (if you have them). Insurance plans can differ by the providers you see and how much you have to pay. Medicaid and CHIP programs also vary from state to state. Check with your insurance company or state Medicaid
and CHIP program to make sure you understand what services and providers your plan will pay for and how much each visit or medicine will cost. Ask them for a Summary of Benefits and Coverage document that summarizes the key features of the plan or coverage, such as the covered benefits, cost sharing provisions, and coverage limitations and exceptions.

We are constantly advising our clients who work for different employers. We very well understand choices made by the employers regarding the insurers for their employees and therefore are able to help employees of different offices to by advising about the policies and plans well suitable for them while in line with their employer’s choice.
